Oscar Health began enrolling consumers in the Colorado market during the 2020 open enrollment period. Oscar was immediately competitive due to low premiums. Oscar also has innovative extra perks like a $3 Rx drug list, Doctor on Call, step tracking rewards, and a Concierge team. The extra perks offered on all Oscar plans are managed through a sleek and simple app.
Oscar Health offers EPO plans across all Bronze, Silver, Gold, metal tiers as well as a Catastrophic plan. Oscar’s plans are available on and off of the exchange, Connect for Health Colorado. The Oscar EPO is non-gated and has no PCP assignment. Oscar members don’t need a referral to see an in-network specialist and are not assigned or required to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP).
Doctor on Call with the Oscar Health app
The doctor on call benefit has been the most exciting benefit for members switching to Oscar. Members can easily find a doctor on call through the Oscar app 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Oscar makes it easy to consult with a doctor in as little as fifteen minutes. Doctor on call is unlimited and free. Members can spend less time making a trip to the doctors office. Or if Oscar members have a sick child at 2am, a provider can diagnose the illness and recommend a treatment or prescribe Rx without needing to wait until the next day… all with no copay.
