Colorado State University graduate students can learn more today about a bill that would require them to carry some form of health-care coverage.
The meeting is at 4:30 p.m. in the Grey Rock Room of the Lory Student Center. Hosts are the Graduate Student Council and the Center for Public Deliberation.
The Colorado Legislature is considering the bill by state Rep. John Kefalas, D-Fort Collins. CSU officials said the bill would allow them more flexibility and bargaining power when negotiating health-care coverage for graduate students.
Peter Dourhout, the vice provost for graduate studies, will attend the discussion, said Martin Carcasson, director of the Center for Public Deliberation.
Kefalas and Rep. Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud, plan to attend if they can leave their committee meetings in time, Carcasson said.
